A massive drone attack has struck many Kyiv districts.

According to authorities, more than two dozen Russian drones hit Ukraine's capital early Friday, wounding two persons and damaged residential structures in Moscow's latest nocturnal drone assault against Ukraine.

The strike on Kyiv was the sixth of the month and was part of a broader drone swarm intended against portions of central, southern, and western Ukraine, according to the country's air force.

On Telegram, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that a drone had hit a block of flats in the Solomyanskyi area, south of the city center, causing a fire on the top levels that was swiftly extinguished.

Several apartments on the 24th, 25th, and 26th stories of the structure were also damaged, according to emergency services. Two persons were hurt, one of whom is being treated at a hospital.

A video shared on social media showed a massive orange flame rising into the sky in the middle of the night.

Mr. Klitschko further claimed that drone pieces set fire to a house under construction in the Darnytskyi area on the eastern bank of the city's Dnipro River.

Construction supplies were scattered over the scene, according to photos uploaded online.

According to Serhiy Popko, the chief of Kyiv's military administration, shards from a downed drone hit an apartment building in a third region south of the city center.

He shared photos of damaged glass and extensive damage to apartments.

According to Ukraine's southern command, an undisclosed infrastructure complex in the Mykolaiv area was targeted, while debris from a crashed drone damaged a grain storage facility in the Odesa region.

Authorities reported no casualties and that the following flames had been doused.
