In Western India, a bus crashes and catches fire, killing 25 people.

NEW DELHI - A tire rupture led a bus to lose control, crash into a road barrier, and explode into flames in western India early Saturday, killing 25 passengers, authorities said.

Sunil Kadasne, a police official, told the Press Trust of India news agency that the incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. On a roadway in Maharashtra's Buldhana district. He stated that the eight survivors were transferred to a hospital.

The private bus was on its way to Pune from Nagpur, another city in the state.
