39 people are injured and 10 people die as a bus crashes into cars in southern Turkey.

ANKARA, Turkey—On a highway in southern Turkey, a passenger bus collided with other cars, resulting in at least 10 fatalities and 39 injuries, according to authorities on Monday.

The bus swerved into the opposing lane in the heavy rain and collided with two automobiles late on Sunday in the Province of Mersin. Later on, Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan informed reporters that a truck had crashed into all three cars.

At least eight of the injured were in critical condition when they were sent to neighboring hospitals, according to the state-run Anadolu Agency.

According to Anadolu, the intercity bus was carrying 28 people as it made its way from Diyarbakir in the southeast of the nation to Adana in the south.
