Anti-submarine warfare frigate of the Philippine Navy deployed in the West PH Sea

The missile and anti-submarine warfare (ASW) frigate and helicopter of the Philippine Navy have been stationed in the West Philippine Sea (WPS), according to information released on Tuesday by the Armed Forces of the Philippines' Western Command (Wescom).

The Wescom announced on Facebook that BRP Antonio Luna (FF151) and AW159 ASW "Wildcat" helicopter had just landed in its jurisdiction.

According to the military, a tandem of ASW platforms has been deployed along the western border of the Philippines for maritime and sovereignty patrols that provide an effective maritime presence, notably in the WPS.

The most recent deployment, in accordance with Wescom, guarantees the military services' preparedness and dedication to safeguarding the nation's marine interests against any potential threats.

The recent addition of the AW159 helicopter brought RP Antonio Luna's warfighting kit to completion. According to Wescom, taking this action is essential to safeguarding the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Concerned workers have been working together to maximize preparation for any "eventualities" as well.

The naval resources are a vital deterrent for Wescom against any invading troops in the area.

While patrolling the WPS, the tandem platforms conduct various testing and training exercises, according to Wescom.
